A community development strategy that accurately takes into account changes in the social and economic climate surrounding a city and community, such as increased use of information technology and the advancement of globalization, is now needed more than ever. Notably, by considering change as an opportunity to build new visions, I believe that it will become increasingly important to advance community development through scenario planning that revolves around "branding," which capitalizes on the assets present in the city and community to enhance vitality and value.
