Raising the Value of Cities and Projects
We are currently implementing activities along the following three lines.
(1) Public-private partnership (PPP, etc.) project development: Project scheme/project evaluation (financial evaluation/ socioeconomic evaluation)
(2) Urban diagnosis and urban examination utilizing advanced city information (society, economy, environment)
(3) Urban management base utilizing big data
In Japan, the realization of a low-carbon society and formation of a compact city structure befitting a mature city are necessary, and in other countries, project solutions that consider the pressures of rapid urbanization are necessary.
The above three points could, at first glance, appear to be independent initiatives, but through the process of visualization, evaluation, and verification of urban information or project content and others from appropriate perspectives and indices, they form a group of approaches that make it possible to enhance the value of necessary urban policies or individual projects even more.
Various stakeholders exist in cities. I believe that the above package of “appropriate solution proposals + visualization of before/after effects” will contribute to the promotion of sustainable urban development based on good-quality consensus building.
