After initiating its operation in 2005, continuous performance verification and validation have been conducted for the “Nakanoshima 3 chome district heating and cooling system", incorporating a heat pump system that totally uses unused energy i.e., river water, and the results have been utilized for proper operation. In this study, nine years of data since commencement of operation was used for analyzing the interannual performance of the plant, the heat source machine, and the river water heat exchanger, as well as for evaluating the effect of cleaning the river water heat exchanger.
