Studies on systems for the local production and local consumption of energy in Resol Seimei no Mori

Summary

Solar power generation, solar collection, premium grids, energy management, local production for local consumption, CCRC
Project description
We received a subsidy from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry to formulate future plans on the introduction of a local production system for electricity and heat for local consumption in Resol Seimei no Mori, a retirement community that aims to create a community town (CCRC linked to university) where residents can enjoy a healthy and fulfilling lifestyle every day. The plan calls for locally produced electricity and heat energy from mega solar projects and solar water heating systems to be properly managed for facilities with high levels of energy consumption that are scattered across a vast area.
A system for local production and local consumption that actively uses energy stored in the area will be introduced in existing facilities in Resol Seimei no Mori. With the use of Japan’s first “Premium Grid®”, which uses existing distribution networks, the plan aims to achieve energy savings in electricity and heat during normal hours and the safe use of energy in the event of a disaster.
