Project description

We carried out studies on mid- and long-term maintenance plans, including required infrastructure facilities, based on the functions and environments needed for spaces in front of the station in the future. In light of trends around the former site of Haneda Airport and trends in surrounding areas, we also examined the roles and direction of functional upgrades that will be required in areas around Kamata Station in the future. We examined the arrangement of public spaces, such as the station square and free passageways by looking at the relationship between transfer lines for public transportation resulting from the construction of a new airport and pedestrian networks connected with the station and city.
