Support for the development of an urban planning master plan for Taito ward

Project description

We conducted analyses on current conditions using GIS and awareness surveys (questionnaires) on the future image of the city for residents located both in and outside the city. We also examined the contents of the master plan, such as restructuring policies for urban development by sector and improving policies to achieve optimal urban development, formulated the contents of revisions to the master plan and provided administrative support to the committee in charge of creating the master plan.

Technical features

● Examined urban structures based on wide-area transportation networks beyond administrative areas and core areas in adjacent areas, etc.
● Classified land into seven different classifications for basic land use and four areas to enhance features in order to promote detailed urban development in Taito City where 80% of the area is designated for commercial use
● Examined policies by sector that stress the living environment of residents with the addition of culture, industry and tourism as new perspectives for urban development
