ZEB (Zero Energy Building)

A zero energy building (ZEB) is a building that achieves zero net energy consumption through the use of renewable energy.
Initiatives at the building level are essential to realize a sustainable city and society. The basic concept of long-term growth strategies based on the Paris Agreement is that a decarbonized society, or carbon-free society, is the final goal, and the realization of ZEB has become an important initiative at the national level.

NSRI is working on trial calculations of the effects of ZEB technologies by method and is creating visuals of the effects of ZEB based on various insights developed through past research on technologies that contribute to reducing environmental impacts to support the development of scenarios and planning guidelines to realize ZEB.
