Urban master plans and visions

We conceive the future vision of a city based on long-term perspectives and formulate plans to achieve that vision from the standpoints of land use, functionality, transport systems, urban infrastructure, environment, landscape design, and disaster mitigation, among others.

In Japan, NSRI is undertaking the formulation of urban master plans in a number of cities, which are positioned as the fundamental policy of municipalities for city planning. We are also engaged in drawing up various plans formulated by local governments and public entities, such as future visions, site optimization plans, guidelines for urban development, revitalization plans for city centers and landscape planning. Overseas, we have been engaged in the formulation of regional and city-level master plans and detailed urban plans for city centers, especially in major cities in Southeast Asia, China and the Middle East.

In addition to the development of master plans for urban development, we offer a wide variety of services, including the formulation of future visions and development strategies, housing development policies, guidelines for pedestrian priority spaces and landscaping, and proposals to improve urban planning-related systems.
