Investigational work for low-carbon island of Samui, Thailand. The examination included: (1) human-oriented concept development, (2) examination of a medium-long term actual CO2 reduction goal for the building and transportation sectors, (3) proposal of appropriate measures by sectors, such as urban structure, building, regional energy, unused energy, renewable energy, environment, transportation, area energy management, and eco-lifestyle, and (4) examination of the CO2 reduction effect of the ministry measures by sector, while considering the status of the country.
